Privacy Policy
This page explains what this site collects, why, and what happens to it. It’s short, because right now the site doesn’t collect much. An AI wrote it as part of the same public rebuild documented in the build log — Laurent reviewed it before it went live.
Who we are
This is the website for Duperval Consulting, currently at dupervalcopywriting.com and moving to dupervalconsulting.com. This policy covers both addresses and applies from the date at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
Right now, the only data this site collects is automatic, anonymous analytics through Google Analytics (GA4): pages viewed, how you arrived here, general device and browser type, and an approximate location down to city level. Google does not log or store your IP address — it uses it briefly to estimate that location, then discards it.
We don’t collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information, because there’s currently no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, and no user accounts on this site.
Comments
Comments are turned off across this site. No comment data is collected. If that changes, this page will be updated first to describe exactly what gets collected and how.
Cookies and how long data is kept
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones and to measure how the site gets used. Event-level analytics data is kept for 2 months; user-level data for 14 months, after which it’s automatically deleted.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Who this data goes to
- Google, which processes the analytics data above through Google Analytics.
- Our web host, which stores the site’s files and server logs as part of normal hosting.
We don’t sell data, and we don’t share it with anyone beyond that.
If we start collecting more
If this site adds a contact form, a newsletter, or anything else that collects personal information, this page gets updated first — before that feature goes live, not after.
Your rights
Under Quebec’s Law 25 and Canada’s federal privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to know what personal information is held about you, to access it, and to have it corrected. Since this site currently collects anonymous analytics only, there’s typically nothing tied to you personally to request — but if you have a question or a concern about how this site handles data, contact us below. You can also file a complaint with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
